Family Room update: The hole/leak is gone and the door has been closed in. They have put two new can lights above the fireplace and the ceilings have been baroqued. (All of the ceilings have. Plaster ceilings are almost impossible to repair perfectly.) We are hoping within the next week to begin tiling the floor!
Zoey's Room: here is another view of the door that has been closed in. They are not finished mudding and sanding but it gives us a better idea of the feel of the space.
New laundry room: plumbing and wiring for the washer and dryer were going into the new laundry room this morning. The new electrical panel has already been installed and the door way is sealed up between what is now the master bathroom.
Miscellaneous Changes: Trim went up all throughout the house and the ceilings look great.
And speaking of trim: Jon and I both had to make trips to get more trim this weekend. He went to Jackson and the kids and I went to Union City. We unknowingly took the same picture. Great minds I say, great minds.
Now for the big change. Drumroll please…….
Here is a different view…
It makes that door look oh so lovely but we hope to remedy that very soon. We are planning to strip the door to the natural wood color and then stain it slightly darker. We will put up some dark shutters and fresh landscaping and it will be sooooo purty. We did end up going with Seafoam storm, in case you were wondering.
In case you weren't just giddy with the progress, look at this precious picture of my handsome little man. He had partied too hard with the big kids and needed a power nap at the bowling alley.
Say a little prayer for my big man. His four year physical showed an issue with one of his eyes (nothing too serious, we hope). We are off to Memphis one day this week.
Happy Monday!
